WANTED:  VOLUNTEERS

For a number of years, different owners have volunteered to go to the Villas and “work” during the maintenance weeks in the spring and fall.  As we have observed, some of our volunteers have aged (author included) a bit over the years and are not as able to work physically as in the past.  Never-the-less, we have found “things” to do such as organizing the library, auditing the books, and updating the unit notebooks.  We are planning to continue this activity and if you would like to join the group, let the office or one of the Board members know, so they can reserve a place for you.  Believe it or not, sometimes we get more volunteers than we have space for.

This experience has brought to our realization that some owners would like to “work” an hour or so while they are at the Villas during a regular week.  There are many small tasks that could be handled by an owner who might want to volunteer for an hour or so.  Hosting the wine and cheese is one of those volunteer tasks.  Other volunteer tasks might include locking the pools at 10:00 pm in the evening, unlocking them in the morning, helping with the mail in the office, running an errand to the hardware store or Menard’s, or even painting the trim on some of the windows.

For those that want to go to the Villas “just to relax,”  that’s what it’s for; but for those who would like to try a few things related to timeshare operation, we have prepared a brief “task list” that will be available to owners when they check in. You are encouraged to “toss it” if you wish or turn it in to the office if you want to try something different.

Don’t be hesitant to let the office or the Board know if you think this is a good idea or the “dumbest thing you ever heard of.”
